Under the hood of the 2019 Lincoln Navigator will be the new 3.5-l V-6. This one replaced the old sturdy V-8 unit. It is capable to deliver more than 400 hp and probably over 450 lb-ft of torque. After revisits, the new drivetrain will be able to achieve 16/23 mpg in city and highway drive. This is a result of the 2WD model. The all-wheel-drive version can make 1 mpg less in both ways.
Plug-in hybrid on the way
Ford, as a parent company, is developing new technologies. One of them is creating hybrid drivetrain for trucks and crossovers. The 2019 Navigator will be the first Lincoln vehicle to get its power from such system. It is still unknown what combination will be used. We believe basic 3.5-l is going to be the main source of power. Two electric motors on rear wheels will boost it with additional horsepower and torque.
