The 2018 Mitsubishi Montero will utilize the concept of GG-PHEV. Mitsubishi Montero is one of the most popular SUVs to have been manufactured by this reputed Japanese company. Mitsubishi Montero is known as Mitsubishi Shogun in Britain while in most other countries it is known as Mitsubishi Pajero. The first ever version of this SUV was launched in 1983.

Though for obvious reasons the engine specifications are not clear, it is being speculated that there will be two types of engines fitted in 2018 Mitsubishi Montero depending upon the model. The base models will be fitted with a V-6 naturally aspirated engine. However, there is no current information available about the torque rating and the horsepower. The second type of engine is going to be a four cylinder engine. Both the engines will use petrol. There will be a turbocharger as well. The engine will have 6-speed automatic transmission system. There are no current plans by Mitsubishi to launch a diesel or a hybrid version of the engine.
2018 Mitsubishi Montero – Availability and Price
The SUV will be available by the end of this year or the beginning of 2018. Since currently, the company is only planning to launch two versions of this Mitsubishi Montero the price is expected to begin from $50,000. Mitsubishi expects Montero to be in competition to Land Rover LR4, therefore, the price is expected to be lesser than this car.
