The 2018 Infiniti QX50 has been spied testing in recent times in various parts of the USA. Despite the heavy camouflage hiding the exterior, spy shots have revealed the changes in design. It is going to be slotted between siblings QX30 and QX60.
2018 Infiniti QX50 – Redesign Design
Infiniti models have been rising popularity charts in last few years, posing threat to rivals from stables of Lexus and Acura. It sticks to the new design language of the brand. This means there will be an abundance of fluidic line and organic shapes in the exterior of the car. Traces of the QX50 concept showcased at the Detroit Auto Show are there as well. Influences of the Q50 sedan are also there and some design elements from QX60 have also been taken. The headlights are narrower than existing model and grille and bumper design has been revised. There are twin exhaust pipes at the rear side and wraparound Led tail lamps. There will be two rows of seats.
2018 Infiniti QX50 – Engine Output:
The 2018 Infiniti QX50 is not only getting a cosmetic makeover for sure. The powertrain will also get a revamp. It will most likely be equipped with a Variable Compression Turbo engine. This 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit will make 268 hp. The rear-drive-based setup in the model offers a sporty ride. While this is less than what the current model’s engine generates, Infiniti is confident of the car hitting the sweet spot in acceleration and fuel economy.
The Infiniti QX50 2018 is going to be laden with cutting edge amenities and new safety technologies, for sure. From heated seats to dual zone climate control, it will sport latest features to woo target buyers. While the concept car shown at Detroit auto show was equipped with the company’s much touted ProPilot semi-autonomous technology it is not clear whether it will make to the production version.
You can expect safety features like traction control, multiple airbags, rear vision camera, lane keep assist and blind spot monitoring.
