However, the 2018 BMW X7 is possibly making maximum headlines! This is only natural that this is going to be the company’s flagship model in the X series line-up. The large sized luxury SUV will be launched as a 2018 model, after sitting in the pipeline for a very long time. It will be positioned against full-size SUVs like Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, Mercedes-Benz GLS and upcoming Audi Q7. It will be manufactured at BMW’s Spartanburg plant in South Carolina.
2018 BMW X7 – Immaculate Design
The design of upcoming BMW X7 is bold and enticing. Of course, design similarities with existing and smaller siblings from X series line-up are obvious. The front features BMW’s well-known split kidney bean grille. The vehicle is based on the car giant’s much touted flexible CLAR architecture. So, the body will be made with a mix of lightweight steel, carbon fiber, and aluminum. BMW sources have said it would be wrong to think of the upcoming X7 as a vehicle with extended wheelbase X5. The prototype that has been caught testing recently sports roof rails and a panoramic sunroof. The back has dual exhaust and wraparound tail lamps. The lamps will be LED powered and there will be DRL.
The cabin of upcoming BMW X7 will be large and 7 adults can be accommodated in it. So, boot space is also likely to be generous. Hopefully, the third row of seats will not be cramped. You can expect the interior to be laden with quality materials and some form of noise insulation.
It is likely that 2018 BMW X7 will be launched in a few trims. The models will be laden with latest safety features and infotainment setup will feature touch screen support and navigation. Of course, you can expect a large touchscreen display with voice command support and option for navigation.
2018 BMW X7 – Powerful Engine
BMW is going to equip the X7 with powerful engine choices. So, the trims will get beefy V8 engine units along with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. A performance version may also be launched with the V-12 engine. Both diesel and gasoline engines will be offered. Exact output numbers of the engines are not yet clear. The suspension is likely to be tweaked to handle rough terrains.
