2017 GMC Acadia Redesign, Review, Price, Release Date

GMC has come up with a new updated for its Acadia; the new model will be called the 2017 GMC Acadia. Some upgrades have been to it. It is smaller and compact than before, this time. This model is a crossover between Terrain and the large sized Yukon. It is a successor of the GMC Envoy XL SUV.

2017 GMC Acadia – Redesign Exterior and Interior:

Some updates have been made to the exterior of this midsize crossover SUV. It has a very bold appearance, from front to the back. It is a very different crossover car, including all the big and small details. The grille design has also been redesigned. The 2017 GMC Acadia has a trapezoidal shape instead of the rectangular shape the previous models had. The wheels are available in 17-inch, 18-inch, and 20-inch.

All the lights are LEDs, including the headlights, the taillights, and the all-new fog lights. Daytime LED running lamps are available for the projector beam headlamps. The GMC lighting is in a C-shape. The new halogen fog lights are also available. They increase the visibility when there is a lot of fog, helping the driver to stay safe.

Locking and unlocking the vehicle is made quite easier due to a new feature, which allows Keyless Open and Start. The 2017 GMC Acadia can be started with just one push of a button. The moment you bring the key near to open the car, the open and start features senses it and gives access to all the four doors of the vehicle. Moreover, the car gets locked within a few seconds of leaving and closing the door.

The interior of the 2017 GMC Acadia has also been upgraded to make the ride more comfortable than ever. A feature of noise cancellation has been added, making the cabin soundless and the journey peaceful and pleasant for the passengers. The head restraints at the front are also made adjustable to increase the comfort remarkably. Interior lighting is also quite good. Overall, the weight of the new model is 40 pounds lesser than that of the previous model; this makes the vehicle more stable and easier to control.

The 2017 GMC Acadia is available in a three-row configuration, and there is room for seven passengers to fit in and have a comfortable ride easily. The third is also easily accessible in this model. The safety of the 2017 GMC Acadia has been significantly enhanced with the addition of a few new features. Side blind zone alert is one of those features, present in your Acadia SUV. There is a rear-view camera too for reversing purposes. Anti-braking system and airbags are also present.

Two powertrain trims are available. One is the 3.6-liter V6, which can generate up to 310 hp. It is paired with the six-speed transmission. The customers can also upgrade to the active fuel management feature. The new 2017 GMC Acadia will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. However, if the customers need this SUV for normal routine day driving or only have to carry light amounts of load, they can also opt for the 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with 194 hp. It can accelerate the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in 9.3 seconds, which is not quite so bad.

2017 GMC Acadia – Release Date and Price

This model is expected on the market in early 2017. Basic SL version will cost about $30,000. SLE around $33,500, SLT – $39,500, All-Terrain – $40,000 and Denali $46,000.
